This gracious historical property was built in 1908 by prominent cigar manufacturer, William Otis Johnson and wife Lilla Johnson whose family lived there for 3 generations before it was sold to John and Florence Fuller in 1952. Mr. Fuller was the Captain for “The Flying Tigers” WW2 Air Squadron. Mr. Fuller was killed in action and his widowed wife Mrs. Fuller whom served as the Curator for Key West Historical Society and President of The Key West Womens Club. Mrs. Fuller remained in the house till 1970. Rumor has it she hosted many great parties for prominent locals and held nearly 8 Benefit Galas a year at this location making her property a “place to be seen”. Since then the property was rented too various locals in the 80’s and then was fully restored as “The Treetop Inn” Guest House in the early 90’s.
